THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE CORRECT PRESSURE

The FIBA rules contain no figure for pressure at all. What they contain is a requirement about behaviour: dropped from 1800 millimetres, the ball must rebound to between 1035 and 1085, both heights measured from its underside. The manufacturer simply prints a recommended pressure on the side — as advice, not as a rule.

This is deliberate: the same pressure gives a different bounce in a cold hall and a warm one, and balls with different casings bounce differently at identical pressure. So the check is not a gauge but a tape measure — and anyone can do it at home.

  • Colour carries meaning, but meaning never rests on colour alone — the sheet reads in black and white.

Printing

  • White background and sparing fills — it prints on a home printer without draining the cartridge.
  • Margins of at least 10 mm: a home printer cannot print to the edge.
  • No stroke thinner than 0.3 mm, so nothing disappears in print.

Why the numbers can be trusted. Every countable number here is computed from data rather than typed in, and the sheet must pass 5 independent checks before it is allowed to build — how many items there are, the order they come in, and the claim in the highlighted box itself. If one fails, there is no file.
