A large dot is raised, a small pale one is not. Under each cell stands what it means in Unified English Braille.
Lines 1 to 3 carry the alphabet in order: a–j, k–t, u v x y z — 25 letters, each line the one above with a dot added.
W is not among them: it stands alone at the end of line 4, after the groups ch, gh, sh, th, wh, ed, er, ou, ow. The system was built for French (ICEB §1.1.5), and w is the only letter outside those three lines.
Why the numbers can be trusted. Every countable number here is computed from data rather than typed in, and the sheet must pass 9 independent checks before it is allowed to build — how many items there are, the order they come in, and the claim in the highlighted box itself. If one fails, there is no file.
